People First

Providing our staff with an environment and opportunities that encourages and enables them to lead healthy lives and make choices that support their well being.

Health and well being

Throughout the year, ADComms’ Health and Wellbeing programme spotlights a different topic every month to raise awareness, provide information and offer support to staff and their families. In 2018 we did the following;

March – Coping with Change – Leaflets and posters were displayed across our offices providing hint and tips, and information of support services.

April – Mental Health – A representative from charity ‘Mind’ delivered a presentation raising awareness about mental health issues and available support.

May – Exercise – Encouraged weekly walks and free fruit provided for staff.

June – Taking care in the sun – Mocktail event and free raffle for sun-care products.

July – Smoking – Representative from North Lincolnshire Council spoke to staff about the effects of smoking and support to help give up.

August – Back Care & Posture – Chiropractor visited the unit to advise staff on correct posture and short assessment for spinal problems.

September -Winter Health – Flu jab vouchers were issued and posters displayed on how to protect yourself from winter health problems.
